Bob Findlay not Happy With Musicforte
Rock musician Bob Findlay is considering leaving the internet music site, MusicForte, after recent personal comments including aspects of his personal past were allowed to be published. A few weeks ago Findlay was notified by a fellow musician at MusicForte that his ratings there appeared tohave been”sabotaged.” Not being one to follow his chart ratings particularly and having recently centralised his music to his personal website http://scotsbob.webs.com and ReverbNation Findlay only recently took the trouble to peruse these reviews. The reviews were written by a person who had signed up to MusicForte on the same day as a local newspaper article about Findlays return to the music industry was published. The person used apseudonym and the reviewswere similar in nature. The person writing the reviews reffered constantly to Findlays’ drunken past, an area t guitar songs hat he has already addressed in brutal detail on his website and is more than happy to discuss with anyone who asks. As far as a music critiques goes the reviews are obviously written by someone with little knowledge in this area with the constant use ofderogatory slang, most of which is not recognised outside of Australia. The reviews also seemed rather ‘flighty’, flitting from present tense to past tense, referring to him as ‘Bob’ then ‘Findlay’ and used no musical terms at all. Findlayis not particularly put out by the comments as such. I havebeen privy tohis latest monthly update for his website where he makes brief mention of of the reviews. “I know who this person is and the reviews don’t bother me….I’ve had way worse emails and so forth. I just find it irritating that such irrelevant comments can be allowed through by the powers that be at MusicForte.
